Ecological footprint

My ecoloigcal footprint was 4.54 earths. I can recycle more and become more aware my energy uses. I can spend a little time researching ways for me to become less of an impact. Yes I care because its my world and I dont want to destroy it. Some long term affects are global warming. We have more of a industrialized nation resulting in having larger footprints. Yes there will be some left but we should attempt to leave big footprints.

  1. Hi Christina-I think that it would be wise to look at which of your ecological footprints was the highest and REALLY focus om maybe some short terms goals to reach, to help lower your footprint completely. Christina don't stop at just one area of the footprint be proactive and look at every angle you can to make a change in your lifestyle and or set of behaviors in which you live. I think there's always room for improvement even if you don't believe there's much more you could do, maybe take an outsiders perspective will make a difference. I know one thing thats seems to be high for college students is carbon/food footprint because were always having to drive and eat on the run. So, maybe car pool, ride bike, walk more, make your lunches move to help cut down on packaging and shopping at farmers markets versus stores. There's so much more that each and every individual could really do if we thought about it and put more effort into making it happen. It's all about not being lazy and just caring about other's more than one's self (to save this world).
    Thanks.
